(A message from Shawn:)
Last night was a great first Pack Meeting, with many more to come!
New parents, please do not hesitate to ask us any questions that come up. I know it is overwhelming at first as it is a lot of new information all at one time. Once the year starts rolling along, everything starts falling into place and makes a lot more sense.
We have extra activities on the weekends scheduled throughout the year. (See the calendar above for details.) None of these activites are required, but all of which should be a lot of fun and are designed to create a more enriched Scouting program. We tried to make sure there were things throughout the year so that those who might not make some of the activities will have opportunities later to go to other activities. For instance, we have the Bovay campout in November, and we will have the USS Lexington campout in February. Both should prove to be excellent opportunities for the Scouts. All Scouts are welcome to attend both events or either event….whichever schedules allow.
As we did last night, we are hoping to have a few minutes during the Pack meeting each time to try to get out announcements and answer questions, so please do not hesitate to ask anything during that time as well.
I would much rather you ask, than for you to not be informed and miss something.
